Philosophy

“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practise resignation, unless it was quite necessary. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to  live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms.”

- Henry David Thoreau

VITALITY DESIGN

Our vitality is driven by the personal environments of our biological and  behavioral systems reacting, interacting and interdependent on our external environmental systems.

You cannot touch one system or environment without affecting the other.

Vitality Design is about designing environments from the inside out, starting with the most personal environments of our bodies and minds and then extending to the outside world around us.

VITALITY GUIDES

As vitality guides we help restore and optimize all aspects of innate vitality.

We utilize nutrition, movement and play to help set the foundations to improving and enhancing vitality.

VITALITY = NUTRITION+ MOVEMENT x PLAY TM

NUTRITION:

Food (or non-food) alone is not nutrition. Nutrition is a dynamic interaction, a relationship, between our bodies biochemical individuality and what we ingest. Nutrition is also connected to how well we utilize movement to pump nutrients throughout the body, and how well we rest and restore to optimize the nutrient use. The reactions of our mind, body, and emotions are directly related to our ability to absorb, utilize and eliminate nutrients and toxins.

MOVEMENT:

Our bodies were made to move. Just like our heart and lungs, our neuromusculoskeletal system is an interdependent pumping system. Soft tissues and our physiological system are pumped through movement, which increases the health of all our biological systems. Our bodies adapt to the movement we do. If we move often, in multiple ways, we can have healthy and happy bodies without pain.

PLAY:

Play, in its most pure and natural state,increases our imaginative abilities, brings novel and useful ideas to the world, and improves our biological and psychological health. Play pertains to our minds, bodies and spirits, and at its core, is the most expansive tool of vitality we have.
